You’ll be able to help families directly affected by Alzheimer’s disease by leading a support group and providing much needed emotional support. Group leadership training skills and education about Alzheimer's and dementia will be provided; all you need is the desire to help. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all who are affected.
Requirements:
• Compassionate and caring
• Active listening skills
• Empathy for individuals and families struggling with the disease
• 2 hrs per month minimum
• Training provided
• Personal or professional caregiving experience with persons with dementia
• Background Check
• Must be at least 21
